Introductory Pro-Stitcher Designer Class

Pro-Stitcher Designer™ is a full featured drawing software that enables users to quickly design, edit, customize, export, and import any quilting motif you can imagine. This class starts with a basic overview of the intuitive software layout and easy to use features. Divided into 4 sessions, each session builds on the previous ones by introducing design tools ranging from the simple to the more complex.  By learning how to work with the elements that make up a design, called nodes or anchor points, you’ll be able to edit and combine designs you already own or build new ones to create unique designs for your quilting projects.  Ample time is allowed for class discussion and for you to practice building your skills.

Session 2:        How to create circular designs – because you’ll learn to love   adding an organic feel to your designs                                   How to create square designs – because you already love the   tradition                                                                                     How to add echoes to make any design stand out                 How to add rays in the background of a design to highlight a   motif

Session 3:       How to use pictures in Backdrops to create new designs –   because interesting patterns are all around you                    How to repeat a design on a custom path – because you want   to use all your space creatively                                                 How to add text to your quilts – because you’ve got something   to say                                                                                       How to use the built-in fills and motifs to make your designs   pop

Session 4:      How to edit and connect designs – because you’ve already invested in lots of beautiful designs                                            How to use all the built-in shortcuts – because you want to get back to quilting                                                                        How to use the Modify tools – because sometimes it’s just easier
